Our Staff Is Waiting to Serve You!
The Higdon's Florist staff is made up of several extremely talented florists who pour every ounce of passion into their work. With so many creative and beautiful flower arrangements to choose from, you might have to buy more than one!
Dave and Marcia Baker owned a successful flower shop in Denver, Colorado, before moving to Joplin and purchasing Higdon's flower shop a little over 10 years ago. Dave and Marcia's passion is having the ability to fill the needs of their customers. They value each customer as a person, and strive to give the best service possible.
In addition to Dave and Marcia, there are 9 other employees of Higdon's. 
Kris Wince is our office manager.
We have 3 excellent, highly experienced flower designers. Rick, Diana and Linda have each been in floral design for over 25 years. Each of our flower designers has owned a shop or been a shop manager somewhere in the country during their floral careers.
Johnny is our cook in the Hot Spot and makes potato soup and chicken tortilla soup from scratch every single day (Monday through Thursday).
Our two local Joplin, MO, delivery drivers are Aaron and Bill. Jeanne is our main clerk, and she is always ready to serve you. Kathy is our plant expert.
Together, the Higdon's staff works hard to ensure every customer's order is filled to perfection. We want to beautify Joplin and make the people you love very happy!
Enjoy Lunch or a Cup of Coffee
Right here in the midst of our flower shop, we offer our awesome customers a place to get a rich cup of coffee, a snack or even a tasty lunch.
John, our “Hot Spot” manager, just loves to pamper our customers with the best lunch menu in Joplin. We have a variety of the best types of coffee from smooth lattes to tasty cappuccinos. Have a lunch sandwich made to order, or an incredible bowl of soup.
The Hot Spot is always a quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy your coffee, catch up on the latest newspaper, or even read a good book!
Our lunch menu includes several delicious sandwiches and soups, made exactly as you like them! We also have a nice variety of snacks and goodies.
The Hot Spot is open Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 2 pm.
